Wal Herring knows what drives her. She is passionate about educating people with knowledge to make themselves lead healthier lives and in doing so reaching their full potential.
Wal Herring has a double degree from the University of Otago, Bachelor of Physical Education and a Masters of Science, majoring nutrition.
On completion of her masters she worked for the University of Otago nutrition department, where she worked as a research assistant.
Throughout her education she provided personal consultation to many young aspiring athletes. She has a high pedigree for her own personal sporting performance, having represented New Zealand in age group Basketball and her province in volleyball, swimming, triathlon, running and hockey.
Today her love is adventure racing and multisport events. Moving to England in 2007 she continued her athletic pursuits becoming the consultant to the Leicester Tigers Rugby team and advancing as the English Rugby League team nutritionist. Today she is also working with the Warrington Wolves Super rugby league team as well as offers private consultation.
