Heineken cup Quarter final weekend

Huge weekend for the guys coming up in Dublin, and the first game there for either of us at the new Aviva stadium. A few of our boys have played there for England though, and at the old Lansdowne Road as it used to be when grounds had proper names.

Craig's match report: Leicester Tigers v Harlequins

One of those games, some people would call old-fashioned and full-blooded I guess! And we were happy enough to come away from a tough day at the office with another W. Quins had done their homework and made things difficult for us trying to get any go-forward in the first half, although right from the off their problems at scrum-time were evident with us getting a penalty from the first scrum of the game.

After saying on the Rugby Club “would love to play for my country” – well is that NZ or England??

Scott and I are really looking forward to the match against the in form Quins, particularly as our old mate Nick Evans returns from a broken hand. Everyone knows he makes such a difference to the Quins side.

This was a great occasion for New Zealand and South African rugby fans and for anyone interested in what the Super 15 is all about.  I was down in London for the game

Crusaders v Sharks

Match preview by former Crusader's player Scott Hamilton

The Crusaders and Sharks make history by playing the first super rugby match outside of SANZA. Having caught up with most of the team on Wednesday they were tired and jet lagged but definitely excited about playing on the hallowed twickenham turf.

For some of the younger guys the prospect of flying to the other side of the world to play is an amazing opportunity. It will be hard to block out all the surrounding hype and concentrate on the game. But there are enough experienced old heads in the side, the likes of Thorn, Carter, Ellis and Flynn to make sure everyone is focussed come 4pm Sunday.
